Biography

Emcee

Cheryl Yao is a multi-faceted bilingual artiste, has a vast experience in hosting, voice overs, acting and modelling. Cheryl is a model turned host with 8 years in the events industry who is also the 2nd runner up for Miss Universe Singapore 2019. Ready to reach, engage and excite every show.

 

 

Key Highlights

Mr Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee & First Fusion Band

The band, called “First Fusion”, was formed back in the 1960s (formerly known as “The Sangam Boys”). They play multi-ethnic songs, mainly English, Malay and Hindi. With experienced and professional musicians, they believe in giving back to society. They perform voluntarily at 8 to 10 local charity events every year. Enjoy the song that they have created specially just for the Singapore Hospice Council.

 

Joanna Dong

Singaporean jazz artiste, actor and host Joanna Dong became a household name in 2017 after placing third in popular singing competition, Sing! China. As a bilingual actor and host, Joanna has received various film, stage and television awards for her work, such as the Best Entertainment Hostess at the 2019 Asia Rainbow TV Awards. Joanna graduated with Honours in Sociology from the National University of Singapore. She founded Do Be Do Di, an arts and entertainment company, in 2019.

 

Rahimah Rahim is a singer, actress, performer and now DJ on VintageRadioSG. She is one of Singapore’s most prolific performer since she burst onto the stage at the tender age of 14. You can now listen to her nightly between 10pm to midnight on VintageRadioSG. Who knows, she may just break into a song…

 

 

 

Nick Shen Weijun is an actor and presenter who contributes immensely to the arts and culture scene in Singapore. Besides dedicating his time to arts and culture, Nick actively volunteers for various charities including Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation, Singapore which is, one of Singapore Hospice Council’s members.

 

 

Dr Alex Su is the Chief of Recovery Care Department who has led major changes in the care model for the long stay psychiatric patients in Institute of Mental Health. He has also led a ward to improve end-of-life care for long stay patients with terminal conditions. The multidisciplinary team together with experts from Tan Tock Seng Hospital and a strong team of volunteers are dedicated to improve the care for this group of patients and their caregivers.

Daniel Ong, is a professional wedding singer and songwriter.

He has won a number of awards, such as Impresario 2008 Vocal Duet Champion, Impresario 2013 Original Composition 1st Runner Up and Sing! China 2017 Singapore Selection 1st Runner Up.

Daniel enjoys singing and songwriting. He strongly believes that music has the power to touch, move and inspire people.

 

EVOKX was founded in 2010 as a non-profit community youth choir by Singaporean conductor and music educator Terrence Toh.

At EVOKX, singers share a passion to inspire resonance with their collective voices; the commitment to instil charity, compassion and empathy in their audience and in themselves, through the transformative power of choral music.

 

Joshua German is a pianist with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  He started tinkling on the ivories early, discovering he could recreate “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” on the family piano when he was about 3 years old. Struggling to cope in a neuro typical world, he started taking formal piano lessons at age 15 when his teacher noticed his penchant for changing and adding extra notes. This led to him branching into jazz piano at age 22.

Joshua (now 24 years old), enjoys entertaining others with his music and hopes to become a professional musician someday.

 

MADDspace – Rybelle

Ryleigh and Isabelle are long-time friends and have been training in singing and dancing together for 3 years. The pair started out as a passion and with mentorship and guidance, their passion has clinched them numerous awards both in Singapore and internationally. Their love for arts has brought them closer. Watch this outrageous duo bring the house down.

 

NUS Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YST) 

Musicians from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music want to bring classical music to the community by integrating it with other forms of art. They believe that music has the power to inspire hope.

 

 

Singapore Pipa Society is a non-profit organisation led by Pipa soloist-cum-educator Mdm Liu Yan and aims to preserve the legacy of the Pipa in Singapore and provide young Pipa musicians a platform to showcase their talents.

 

 

 

Artist Tan Sock Fong first discovered the beauty of glass art in 1990. After her specialised degree in glass art, her passion for this art led her to share her skill as a teacher before working in the commercial glass industry. More recently, she has found a new interest and expanded her practice to creating sand art animations.

 

 

 

Tan Yuqing, is a singer-songwriter and Mezzo Soprano singer with the Singapore Symphony Youth Choir. She has been invited to perform at many community, corporate and charity events. She has also performed at Genting Highlands Arena of Stars, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, Batam Island, Beijing and Maddela in Philippines. Her debut single “OUTERSPACE” was released in January 2020. Her second single “I.L.Y.M” was released in July 2020 and was added to 10 Spotify Editorial Playlists. Recently, she won 1st prize in the Mesra Chingay 2021 Got Talent.
