World Hospice & Palliative Care Day 2021 Celebration

Sat, 9 Oct 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm

Join us on 9 October at 2pm LIVE on SHC’s Facebook page @singaporehospice for an exciting line up of programmes, including performances by Daniel Ong and Tan Yuqing with her 2 sisters. Let’s show our appreciation to palliative care professionals around the world!

Daniel Ong is a professional wedding singer and songwriter. He has won a number of awards, such as Impresario 2008 Vocal Duet Champion, Impresario 2013 Original Composition 1st Runner Up and Sing! China 2017 Singapore Selection 1st Runner Up. Daniel enjoys singing and songwriting. He strongly believes that music has the power to touch, move and inspire people.

Daniel is part of the acoustic duo CurryPop, winner of SHC’s 2019 Voices of My HeART Songwriting Competition. The winning song “阿嬷的歌” was composed by Daniel and written by Goh Seow Ting. The lyrics were inspired from SHC’s Life Book Granny Cool.

Tan Yuqing is a singer-songwriter and Mezzo Soprano singer with the Singapore Symphony Youth Choir. She has performed at Genting Highlands Arena of Stars, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, Batam Island, Beijing and Maddela in Philippines. Her latest release “Stronger Together” was dedicated to the family members of our frontline heroes, who supported their loved ones in helping us to fight COVID-19.

For SHC’s 25th Anniversary, Yuqing wrote and composed the song “Journey”. This was also the theme song for SHC’s first short film “The Sketchbook”.

Yuqing is part of the band TLQ with her sisters Tan Yuting and Tan Yulin. They have performed at events like ‘Singapore Street Festival’, ‘River Hong Bao’, National Day Dinner and New Year Countdown in the various constituencies.
